BUSN GMAT/GRE Waiver Request Form
Loading...
Waiver Request Overview
Individuals who feel they have a competitive application may submit a GMAT/GRE waiver request prior to submission. Waivers are considered on a case by case basis and are not guaranteed. Your waiver request will undergo evaluation by the Admissions Committee and your decision will be emailed to you within 1 week. All waiver decisions are final. Applicants who receive a test waiver may not be eligible for merit based scholarships.
To help you prepare in the advance, have the following documents scanned in PDF format so that you can upload them in your waiver application:
Your resume
International Evaluation Report (outside the US). Scan and upload a copy of your WES ICAP or ECE course-by-course evaluation.
United States Transcripts: Scan and upload a copy of your US transcripts from each institution from which you received a conferred degree or transfer credit in the United States.
Do not upload a copy of your diploma in place of a full transcript. If you do so, your waiver request will automatically denied.
IMPORTANT:
Any applicant who is granted a GMAT/GRE waiver may not be eligible for SCU Leavey School of Business merit scholarships.
If you have taken the GMAT or GRE within the last 5 years, and you have a valid reportable score, you are not eligible for a waiver.

Note: For the specialized master degree programs, we are very selective with GMAT/GRE waivers. We like to see the following:
A GPA of 3.5 or higher
Have a degree and/or coursework that is quantitative in nature
Why does the specialized master's program require the standardized test and what is the purpose?
The GMAT or GRE allows the admissions committed to measure general intellectual ability and have comparable statistics across all applicants. Our students typically average a 640 on the GMAT and a 310 (quantitative and verbal section) on the GRE.
The examination also demonstrates the dedication to the admissions process. If you feel you don't have time to study for the test, then will you have time to commit to a rigorous program? The examination acts as a test drive for applicants to map out their time management skills.
The examination tests your ability to think under pressure and highlight skills that are transferable to the classroom environment.
